Will My Moving Estimate Ever Change?
Based on the information provided by the customers regarding their move, SelfMoves USA attempts to provide a fully disclosed and accurate moving estimate. SelfMoves goes to great lengths to make sure you have enough information regarding our service which allows the customer to make educated decisions in their move.
The price quoted to you is an ALL-INCLUSIVE RATE and covers ALL TRANSPORTATION COSTS for your move including: requested trailer space, normal drop-off and pickup of the trailer, taxes, gas, oil, $15,000 worth of name-perils insurance, the driver, tolls and fuel surcharges. Be assured that your shipment is based on the space your shipment will occupy in the trailer – and not the weight. With the large presence of scams in the moving industry associated with reweighs – you can rest assured this will not happen from SelfMoves USA.
There are some instances where prices may be affected due to changes or non-performance by the customer:
- Change of origin and/or destination cities
- Change of move date
- Trailer is held longer for loading in origin city or customer delays receipt of trailer in destination city. ( Trailer storage or detention fees can range from $50/day to $150/day per trailer- depending on size of your shipment )
- Your shipment is seized or banned by US Customs or any other law enforcement agency
- Cancellation of the move in a timely manner. If move is cancelled within 5 business days of the move date, there will be a $100 fee. If cancelled the day before or on the day of your move, there will be a $200 fee.
- If trailer needs to be re-delivered due to customer [or representative] not at destination location to sign for receipt of trailer.
- You leave trash or boxes on the trailer after the move is completed.
- You incur parking fees, fines or towing of trailer by local authorities.
SelfMoves USA does not require any deposit or prepayment for the move. After the trailer is underway to destination city, you may pay by cashier’s check, money order, credit card, wire transfer or direct deposit into Bank of America. There are no extra fees for credit card transactions.
